My first honest award!

My fellow "blogger" friend Lauren gave me my first blogger award! Please check out her blog here: http://laurenalexis1.blogspot.com/ She is a Christian and as inspired me in so many ways, So thank you Lauren!

I am supposed to share 10 honest things about myself and then nominate 7 other people for the award (then comment on their blog to tell them about it, of course!)

1) I grew up in foster care since I was 7 years old, and consider my foster parents my "parents". I do however know my birth parents. With my birth family and foster family I have 9 brothers and sisters

2) I am scared of human germs. Although it was much worse years ago, I still find it difficult to do certain things. I hate opening doors, touching money, I wont use straws that dont have a plastic cover on them, I really dont like public washrooms, and I always have my purell on me at all times.

3) I worry about everything. I have always been this way, and I know it drives hubby up the wall sometimes ;-)

4) I can be very indecisve at times. And therefore I find it very difficult to make up my mind, and am always second guessing myself.

5) I love God and wish I was a better Christian\

6) I really really like i know this is not that huge of a 'honesty' remark, but its true! I remember the first day I got it I couldnt stand the keyboard on it, and now I love it!

7) I love photography and am very inspired by my close friend who is a photographer and hope one day to follow in her footsteps.

8) I was very shy growing up. It wasnt until highschool that I started to open up a bit. I think this is part of why I love being behind a camera. I can still be part of whats going on, however I am not the one everyone is looking at

9) I got to breed a cow for the first time yesterday!! It was a little gross but still pretty awesome too

10) I wish that I could sometimes open up to my friends IRL as much as I open up to you guys on my blog...

And here are the 7 blogs that inspire, encourage, motivate, or entertain me (or all of the mentioned)...

Great week!!!

Our God is great isnt he?!?! Do you just sometimes have those weeks where you are so thankful to God for all he has given you and all that he provides? That was one of those weeks.
We started off with our Anniversary, which was AWESOME!!!! We went to a village for a day to do some shopping and just walk around. Afterwards we went to a friends house who was actually married the same day as us, and we had a Thai chef come in and teach us and made thai food. It was DELICIOUS!!!! I have never had thai food, but for my first time I just loved it. It was really a great night with friends and really great food.
Friday night hubby and I were in a wedding for our close friends. It was a really beautiful wedding. I have always loved weddings, however sometimes I find them hard at the same time. I see more and more couples moving into new stages of their lives, while it may be engagement, marriage, or children. It hurts in a way to see more and more ppl moving into these stages, and sometimes I feel we are 'stuck' in this one stage. ...
Saturday I had my old college roommate come down for the weekend. I havent seen her in 5 plus years, and actually havent even talked to her! It was a really great weekend.
Im praying for you all! God bless
Shannon
